Any day in the winter that allows me to shoot outside comfortably is magical. Carly and Rick’s winter wedding was that and more. I loved that after booking me, Carly kept me updated regularly and even texted me pictures of her and her dress. I really enjoy the closeness and friendship that is cultivated in the year or so leading up to the wedding. The wedding was held at the stunning Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff. In terms of an inside ceremony, few locations can beat the cozy atmosphere and the beautiful light in the room. The fireplace and windows are just perfect. No detail was spared, from Carly’s fingerless furry mittens to the pearl necklace on her dog to Rick’s pocket watches and monogrammed tie pin. I always enjoy input from my couples and Carly was passionate about having their first kiss documented from behind so that her friends and family were in the picture. I loved that! It took a bit of coordination with the officiant, but I think the results were well worth it. What a perfect way to seal the marriage!!
