There’s just so much about James and Dawn that I love. Dawn delegated the task of finding a wedding photographer to James and he did a ton of research before choosing me. After hearing all his stories, I was so honored to be chosen to capture their day. We definitely bonded over nerdy stuff like old and new technology and I loved hearing about James’ passion with regard to 3D photography. So much so that I bought a 3D lens and used it on their day so that James would be able to have some 3D images to show on his 3D projector. The other unique part of this wedding was that the ceremony was in Banff at Two Jack Lake and their reception was back in Calgary at Heritage Park. You might think it was crazy but it made for the best day of creatives because I was able to shoot in the mountains and shoot at Heritage Park, I can’t really ask for much more on a wedding day! It worked well, the bridal party traveled back to Calgary in a limo bus, which I heard was almost um, too much fun, and the day went off without a hitch. I adored the cocktail party on the boat and the intimate reception at the opera house. Truly a spectacular day!
