Moments are what weddings are made of. It is these moments that define the start of two people’s lives and these moments that remain with me as a photographer. Kirsten and Taylor’s wedding was absolutely full of these beautiful moments, from an emotional prayer circle to group huddles and a sweet moment with Taylor and his mom to crazy bridal party antics and a show-stopping surprise rap from their MC and Kirsten’s sister. The festivities all took place at the Calgary Zoo in the Dorothy Harvey Gardens and I am positive I have said this before, but the Calgary Zoo does a fantastic wedding. The gardens, although public, provide a secluded and intimate ceremony space and the Safari Lodge was recently renovated and is spectacular. The service is top notch and the food is amazing. The entire day was a succession of these brilliant snapshots into Kirsten and Taylor’s new life and it was evident to both me and my fab second shooter, Joelene that they are going to have the best life. They were glowing, radiant and giddy and it was a delight to capture the day.
