I feel really lucky to have been chosen to capture this Calgary Estate Home Wedding. Never before have I seen a bride kiss a fish on her wedding day. Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone kiss a fish before. Apparently, I need to head out to Newfoundland to catch this magic, called Screeching In. Let me tell you, I have never seen more laughter and excitement during a reception than when that fish made an appearance. Pure photography gold right there. I’m fighting a bit of a summer cold right now and I actually think that a little bit of that Screech liquor might scare away any invasive bug meddling with my system. It really was an incredible day, Erin and Tony orchestrated a perfect wedding, complete with renting an Estate Home just outside Calgary, in Bearspaw, hosting a BBQ lunch afterwards and having the evening be a giant house party complete with flip cup and lots of really happy and relaxed guests. I loved all the details, especially the vintage couches from Orange Trunk Vintage Rentals and the hand-painted signs that took Erin FOREVER (I don’t doubt it!). I loved how effortless the day seemed, it was a relaxed and casual atmosphere and I could tell their family and friends really enjoyed it. As always, I aim to capture that happiness with every click of my shutter. I hope you enjoy looking at this Calgary estate wedding as much as I did!
