Oh fall, you get me every time. With your beautiful colours and the golden glow of sunset, I am just in heaven. Unfortunately, your time here is fleeting but I am so happy that we captured the gorgeousness at Jen and Geritt’s engagement session. They are both relatively new to Calgary and when our previous location happened to be in the midst of Beakerhead, I jumped at the chance to use the only spot I’ve ever seen in Calgary with a ton of reds, in addition to the usual oranges, yellow and greens. Every year I drive by this place and I kick myself that I haven’t captured it yet, the reds only last a week at most so the window is narrow. Plus, I think Alberta is best known for our big blue skies and we certainly got that here. It was so easy to work with Jen and Geritt, their chemistry and obvious adoration makes my job a piece of cake. We had so much fun, minus the attack of the burrs (curse you vile plant. But I can’t help admire it for doing SUCH a good job of sticking to anything and everything) and a bit of impromptu hiking. I am really looking forward to their Tunnel Mountain/Banff Springs wedding next summer!
