The exquisite Banff Springs Hotel and the breathtaking vista of Tunnel Mountain reservoir made this Banff springs wedding an absolute delight to photograph. Of course my bride and groom and their wonderful bridal party made the day that much better. I loved shooting in the corner suite at the Banff Springs, it was such a special place, majestic and full of history. It sounds strange but tears at a wedding are what every wedding photographer lives for. Gerrit’s reaction to seeing Jen walk down the aisle made me almost lose focus and I had to bring myself back to the job at hand, but seriously, it was the best. The weather was perfect, big puffy white clouds amidst blue sky, thank goodness because that incredible ceremony location would be a shame to waste. We ventured outside Banff for some more pictures and then made our way back to the hotel for some architecture shots. The intimate nature of the ballroom was perfect for their wedding size, and the light from the curved windows was exquisite. I loved that they gave spices away as thank you gifts! It was a day of perfection and I am so happy to have captured it!
