When we were discussing possible locations for the session, two things came up. The first was that Chris had proposed outside St James Corner (where he and Shelley first met) and the second was that the wedding is taking place in Manchester, England (and I get to shoot it eeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!) and it might be nice to have the two landscapes (Alberta and England) represented. Try as I might, I couldn’t get either location out of my head, so we simply did both. We started at St James Corner in downtown Calgary and then made our way out to the ever majestic Rockies of Canmore. Chris and Shelley also mentioned that snow might make it more “Canadian” and as always, I deliver what my clients want. Ok, so it was a bit of a freak snowstorm, but whatever. Shelley mentioned that she was planning to wear a tutu and I was thrilled. You really can’t go wrong with a tutu and a little glitter, at least not in my eyes. And it truly was perfect. We had such a great time, braved the wind and the aforementioned snow storm and enjoyed a lot of laughter (my favourite). I cannot wait to head to England next May to capture this awesome couple.
