For a year or so now, I have been talking about wanting to get back to Northern Ontario to shoot a wedding so that I could also spend time at my family’s cabin near Elk Lake, about an hour from New Liskeard. Maybe it is true about the idea of putting things out to the universe, but whatever it was, I could not have been more thrilled to be asked to photograph Stacey and Moe’s beautiful wedding in Timmins. It was a perfect day with bright blue sky and puffy white clouds illuminating beautifully the ceremony site on a pond with glass like reflection. The ceremony was held in the park beside the McIntyre Community Center and the reception was held inside the building. I think every wedding should serve french fries and gravy, just saying. I feel like I grew up part time in Northern Ontario, it certainly is my second home. My family and I would spend the entire summer there and now that I have my own little guy, it’s become more clear how much I want him to have at least a bit of the experiences I had growing up. So that said, if you are getting married in North Bay, Timmins, Sudbury, New Liskeard, Gowganda, Elk Lake (the Eco Centre is amazing!!!) or anywhere in between, I want to chat with you!
