I love working with wedding planners and Kari from Knot Planning might top the list of people I adore working with. She gets me, she knows my style and brings me the most wonderful couples. I felt that way the moment I met Natalia and Mike. It was a kind of instant connection and minutes after the consult I emailed Kari saying so and that I hoped they’d choose me. Being chosen as a couple’s wedding photographer NEVER gets old. No matter how long I have been doing this (ten years, ahem!), it always, always, always, makes my entire day, week, month. It’s such an honor and I know how difficult wedding planning is and how much choice is out there and it just makes me giddy to hear that a couple trusts me with something so special.

So let’s talk about Natalia and Mike and their winter engagement session. First off, they are the cutest. And they are proud fur-parents to the cutest dog. I loved seeing Natalia’s face light up when she looks at Mike and how easy it was to get them into their natural selves. Can I just say you need to take note of the laughing photo halfway down. I cannot stop smiling. I cannot currently see it, but I am still smiling as I am thinking about it. If that doesn’t say pure happiness, comfort and connection, then I just don’t know what does. It was a laugh-a-minute kind of session, and the surroundings were spectacular, they could not have been more perfect. I am a very lucky photographer and I cannot wait to work with you two again this spring at Emerald Lake Lodge in Field BC. Enjoy!
